Privacy notice for funding applications

This privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you apply to the EEF for funding for any purpose. This page should be read in conjunction with the notice above, Privacy notice – information that we need to tell everyone’, which covers information relevant to anyone whose data is used by the EEF, including your rights.

Your data will be used to assess your application for a grant and to fulfil and enforce the terms of any grant agreement with you.

The legal basis we rely on to process your personal data is article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, which allows us to process personal data when it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests.

We collect your name, telephone number, email address (also used as a username), title, job role, the organisation you work for and its type, together with details of your proposal and why it should be funded.

We need this information in order to assess your application, respond to your application with feedback, and to administer any funding that is agreed.

We will keep your application indefinitely to be able to track and report on the volume and nature of funding applications to the EEF over time.

As we are processing your personal data for our legitimate interests as stated above, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. There are legitimate reasons why we may refuse your objection, which depend on why we are processing it.

Yes. If you apply for funding you do so via our grant system called Console, which is a software provided by CC Technology. CC Technology state on its privacy notice it complies with European data privacy laws. Further information can be found in CC Technology’s privacy notice, available online here.
